We’ve been championing the work of alt-pop maestro Jerry Paper here at TMR for a while now. Their latest single, ‘Duumb’, is a playful track that brings together a juxtaposing world of sounds that includes groovy beats and infectious basslines, as well as retro, distant synths and experimental, jagged guitar work. Amongst the weirdness of their style, we are given glimpses into the mind of a very clever composer who can bring soulful melodies into a kaleidoscopic music texture. Their UK and Europe tour kicks off in October, while the album, Free Time, drops on April 15th 2022. -Dan Peeke
